Exploring Mindfulness


Ease your foot off the accelerator and press pause to explore ways mindfulness can bring more calming and healthy energy into your busy life!

This 90-minute workshop will explore the science behind mindfulness meditation and look at simple ways it can help us to deal with negative stress in our lives.

It will include:

·       a gentle yoga practice designed to prepare your body for meditation

·       breathing techniques

·       guided mindfulness meditation.

·       time for reflection and journaling

·       a small take-away 

 Please bring a pen and a journal. This workshop is suitable for anyone wishing to explore or deepen his or her meditation practice.

The session will be led by Kathy Parsons, meditation guide, yoga teacher and ‘type-A in recovery’. Kathy has been practicing and studying mindfulness techniques for over 10 years and believes that there is a meditation practice for everyone.
